THE LOWDOWN

MAN UTD

  • Man Utd’s top four hopes were dealt an arguably fatal blow over the weekend as they were beaten 3-1 by Arsenal at Emirates Stadium, with United left rueing a missed penalty from Bruno Fernandes at 2-1, which may have led to a different outcome.
  • Cristiano Ronaldo was on the scoresheet for the Red Devils in North London, netting his 100th Premier League goal and will no doubt have to play a decisive role here if his side are to garner anything from this one.

CHELSEA

  • Chelsea left it late, but finally broke through West Ham this past Sunday, overcoming the Hammers by a single goal at Stamford Bridge courtesy of Christian Pulisic after a frustrating afternoon which saw the Blues miss a penalty.
  • Reece James was a surprise absentee from the Chelsea squad due to a suspected hamstring injury and although head coach Thomas Tuchel has claimed that the right-wing-back is fine, he has to be considered doubtful for this one.

THE TEAM NEWS

QUESTIONABLE: Fred (Injured)

CHELSEA

PREDICTED XI (3-4-1-2): Mendy; Chalobah, Thiago Silva, Azpilicueta; James, Loftus-Cheek, Kante, Alonso; Mount; Havertz, Pulisic

UNAVAILABLE: Chilwell (Injured), Hudson-Odoi (Injured), Kovacic (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

Everyone involved with Man Utd must be desperate for the season to end at this point. Their Champions League hopes have all but evaporated and confidence within their dressing room is likely to be at rock bottom following their latest two defeats. It would be no surprise to Chelsea cause them further anguish here despite being away from home and the Blues are more than capable of accruing at least a point, if not all three. Therefore, back Chelsea to do just that via the double chance market.

Tip: CHELSEA WIN/DRAW DOUBLE CHANCE
