THE LOWDOWN

LEEDS UTD

  • Jesse Marsch’s first home game as head coach of Leeds Utd could not have gone any worse as his side were pummelled 0-3 by Aston Villa on Thursday night, a result which did not please the Elland Road crowd, a number of whom were chanting the name of former head coach Marcelo Bielsa following the third goal.
  • The only positive to take from the evening was the return of Patrick Bamford off the bench and provided he suffers no late injury setbacks the influential striker will surely be in line for a start come Sunday.

NORWICH

  • Whilst Norwich put up a valiant fight against Chelsea in midweek, they were ultimately outclassed and beaten 1-3 by Thomas Tuchel’s side, leaving them still rooted to the bottom for the table.
  • Billy Gilmour will likely return to the Canaries starting XI after being ineligible to play against Chelsea, whilst both Adam Idah and Andrew Omobamidele remain out.

THE PREDICTION

This is to be frank, a must win game for both sides in their respective quests for Premier League survival. Leeds Utd have proven extremely poor both going forward and at the back for a long period now, as have Norwich who are the only other team alongside Leeds to have conceded over 60 goals in the top flight so far this season. Despite this, a nervy encounter looks on the cards at Elland Road with the stakes so high for both teams. With little expected to separate the two teams, the return of Bamford may well prove decisive. The Leeds striker adds that genuine Premier League class going forward that the Whites have simply not had and with someone capable of finishing the chances they create, the smart play in this one is to back Leeds via the draw no bet market.

Tip: LEEDS DRAW NO BET
