THE LOWDOWN

EVERTON

  • Everton’s embarrassing capitulation away at Tottenham last Monday saw them thrashed by five goals to nil, leaving them just a point above the drop zone heading into this latest round of fixtures.
  • Both Tom Davies and Yerry Mina will once again miss out here through injury, although Frank Lampard is boosted by the availability of both Demarai Gray and Ben Godfrey.

WOLVES

  • Wolves brought their losing run to an end in some style last Thursday as they dismantled Watford 4-0 at Molineux, maintaining the gap between themselves and ninth-placed Aston Villa at seven points.
  • It would be no surprise if Bruno Lage was to name an unchanged XI to the one that brushed the Hornets with Nelson Semedo out and Ki-Jana Hoever also likely to be missing.

THE TEAM NEWS

QUESTIONABLE: Delph (Injured), Keane (Illness)

WOLVES

PREDICTED XI (3-4-2-1): Sa; Boly, Coady, Saiss; Jonny, Neves, Moutinho, Ait-Nouri; Podence, Hwang; Jimenez

UNAVAILABLE: Semedo (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Hoever (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

If Everton are to stay up this season, they need to make Goodison Park a fortress between now and the end of the season, starting here against Wolves. Whilst they are unfortunate to be facing the visitors straight after their resounding win over Watford, Everton have the attacking capabilities to get at their opponents and the supporters will no doubt play their part in building the confidence of the home players. The visitors have proven the stronger team over the course of the season, but Everton’s desperation for points should see them scrap for every loose ball and cover every blade of grass at full throttle until the final whistle. Combine that with home advantage being in their favour and it would be a shrewd move to back Everton via the safety of the draw no bet market.

Tip: EVERTON DRAW NO BET
