- Successive 2-0 wins in the Premier League have stabilised Liverpool for the time being but the confidence of Jurgen Klopp’s men surely took a bit of a battering midweek when they lost 2-5 to Real Madrid at Anfield in the Champions League
- Joe Gomez limped off against Real Madrid after a poor performance so Joel Matip is poised to come in regardless of the Englishman's condition, while Klopp has hinted at further changes following the bruising midweek defeat, with the likes of Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino hoping for first starts since their respective injuries.

Liverpool were truly humbled in their midweek defeat to Real Madrid and they remain highly vulnerable in defence. Going forward though, things are definitely improving with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez starting to find form and others returning from injury. You feel they are capable of scoring at least a couple here, but given the gaps they leave at the back, it would be no surprise to see them concede along the way. The visitors should ultimately have too much firepower though, so both teams to score in a Liverpool victory is the prediction.
