THE LOWDOWN

CRYSTAL PALACE

  • Crystal Palace are in excellent form presently, having not lost in their last six in all competitions which has helped them book a place in the FA Cup semi-finals, however they have been hit hard by injuries across the international break.
  • A suspected hamstring injury suffered whilst playing for Ivory Coast may rule Wilfried Zaha out and he could be joined on the sidelines by fellow attacker Michael Olise, while James McArthur and Nathan Ferguson have a chance of making the squad.

ARSENAL

  • Six wins from their last seven Premier League fixtures have catapulted Arsenal into a top four spot, although fierce rivals Tottenham could well have bumped them into fifth-place by the time the Gunners kick-off at Selhurst Park, making this contest even more important from their perspective.
  • Mikel Arteta will be hoping that attacking midfielder Bukayo Saka has recovered from a COVID-19 infection in time to play against the Eagles, although goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is unlikely to recover from a hip injury in time to feature, meaning that Bernd Leno could start a second consecutive Premier League match.

THE TEAM NEWS

CRYSTAL PALACE

PREDICTED XI (4-3-3): Guaita; Clyne, Andersen, Guehi, Mitchell; Gallagher, Kouyate, Schlupp; Eze, Mateta, Edouard

UNAVAILABLE:

QUESTIONABLE: Olise (Injured), Zaha (Injured), Ferguson (Injured), McArthur (Injured)

ARSENAL

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Cedric, White, Gabriel, Tierney; Partey, Xhaka; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Lacazette

UNAVAILABLE:

QUESTIONABLE: Ramsdale (Injured), Saka (Illness), Tomiyasu (Injured)

THE PREDICTION

Arsenal’s young team have developed a seriously strong spine and a toughness about them, which is unlike previous Arsenal sides and this current run under the stewardship of Arteta has been outstanding. Although Crystal Palace are an extremely talented team themselves, the loss of Zaha and possibly Olise as well would be huge blows from an attacking perspective and it would be no surprise if the Gunners were to take advantage here. With that in mind, consider backing the visitors via the draw no bet market for extra security provided that both Olise and Zaha are absent from the Palace starting XI.

Tip: ARSENAL DRAW NO BET
