THE LOWDOWN

ARSENAL

  • Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal do have to put up with the irritation of playing after Manchester City. The Gunners have returned to form with back-to-back impressive victories against Chelsea and Newcastle United.
  • Oleksandr Zinchenko looks almost certain to miss out, although Arteta refused to rule him out completely, while William Saliba is not yet fit for a return.

BRIGHTON

  • Roberto De Zerbi’s Brighton and Hove Albion remain in the hunt for the top six and European qualification but The Seagulls were hammered 5-1 by Everton at the AMEX last weekend.
  • Adam Webster and Solly March both picked up injuries in the defeat to Everton and will play no part in this fixture, but De Zerbi will be tempted to shake things up anyway in the wake of such a poor performance.

THE PREDICTION

Arsenal have been exceptional this season and it is quite remarkable that The Gunners remain involved in a Premier League title race. The Gunners have, though, been relatively porous at the back with their 2-0 win away at Newcastle United ending a run of conceding in eight successive matches in all competitions. They now face a Brighton and Hove Albion side that, whilst potentially tiring, have a plethora of attacking options and they have managed 63 goals in 33 games so far this season. The hosts remain favourites but it could be an entertaining encounter.

TIP: ARSENAL TO WIN & BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
