THE PREDICTION

This looks a really tricky match to call now for a number of reasons. Firstly, Beerschot finally won their first Belgian Pro League game of the season with a pressure-releasing 3-0 victory at home to RFC Seraing last Saturday and they will be an anomaly here with what could be a corner turned. Five goals from their last two games is almost as many as they had scored in their other 11 league outings and outscoring opponents in mad matches was their bread and butter for much of last season. Hosts Kortrijk will have plenty to say about this result, though, having gone unbeaten in four matches at home and losing just one match from their last six league games overall to Club Brugge. The sensible option here is probably to opt for over 2.5 goals in the game and to see where the dust settles for Beerschot this weekend.
