THE PREDICTION
Anderlecht lost 3-1 at leaders Union Saint-Gilloise last Sunday to make it back-to-back defeats in league and cup following their loss on penalties to Gent in the Belgian Cup final. However, Vincent Kompany’s side have won each of their last six at home across all competitions and, notably, Anderlecht are unbeaten in their last five meetings with Club Brugge with a win and four-straight draws – most recently 2-2 here back in December. The visitors have won each of their last six matches across all competitions and each of their last nine in the Belgian Pro League after a 1-0 result at home to Antwerp last Sunday but this looks a potential thriller at Lotto Park on Sunday.
The pressure will be on Club Brugge with USG likely to have extended their lead in the earlier game and this could well decide the title if the visitors drop points.
