The 2021 Recopa Sudamericana featured Palmeiras. Athletico Paranaense had a very difficult 2021 Serie A campaign and they finished outside of the top 12 but did manage to win the Copa Sudamericana. This is expected to be two legs of low-scoring matches but Palmeiras will be favourites for both legs. A low-scoring Palmeira win is the expected result for this first-leg.
