Man City are the top rated team for clean sheet potential in GW8. The club will host Wolves and are given a 55.9% likelihood of recording a shutout. With Nicolas Otamendi (£5.5m) their only fit centre-half, the Argentinian offers a guaranteed route into City’s backline.
Second on the list are Liverpool who host Leicester in GW8. While clean sheets have been in short supply for highly-owned Liverpool assets, Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.2m), Andrew Robertson (£6.9m) and Virgil van Dijk (£6.5m) all offer attacking returns in combination with clean-sheet potential.
A third interesting option when clean sheet hunting are Man Utd assets. While the club have been struggling for form this season, they face Newcastle away this weekend. Newcastle have failed to score in two of their three home matches this season, with their lone goal in front of their own fans coming in Gameweek 4 against Watford. Harry Maquire (£5.5m) scored on Tyneside last season and could be a shrewd pick-up this week.
