Struggling Essendon Bombers face another tough test as they come up against one of the best sides in the AFL this season in the Fremantle Dockers

The prediction

These two teams come into this match in contrasting form as Essendon Bombers are struggling badly with only one win from nine while the Fremantle Dockers are on fire having won eight from nine.

Essendon are in for a long season and not only have they been losing matches, but they have suffered some heavy setbacks with four losses of 60 points or more. 

They did show some signs off life last week against GWS Giants where they were leading going into the final quarter but they were undone late on. That should give them some confidence however albeit against a much stronger side.

The Dockers really are firing on all and after winning their last eight matches in a row, they are targeting a club record of ten in a row having previously won nine on two occasions.

They are dismissing that being on their minds but they will not allow complacency to creep in just yet. Justin Longmuir’s men will be motivated to push on and should win comfortably.

However, with Essendon’s marked improvement, we like the overs on the total points market with a relatively low spread.
