Despite having already safely secured a place in the semi-final, the last thing head coach Charlotte Edwards and captain Nat Sciver-Brunt would want is England to go into a knockout fixture on the back of consecutive defeats after what has been such a successful group stage. Therefore, expect England to be on their game from the beginning here.

For New Zealand, motivation may well have been hit after their semi-final hopes were vanquished by India’s win on Sunday. They have players capable of hurting England but not the depth that Sciver-Brunt’s side boasts.
