England vs Costa Rica prediction

Thomas Tuchel’s stint in charge of England has seen The Three Lions qualify from a very easy UEFA group in which they kept eight successive clean sheets. They have started 2026 with a draw with Uruguay, a 1-0 loss to Japan and then an unconvincing 1-0 defeat of New Zealand.

They now face a Costa Rica side that come into this one on the back of a 3-1 defeat to Colombia in their most recent outing last week. The Central Americans have won just one of their last 11 matches as they missed out on CONCACAF qualification for FIFA World Cup 2026.

The Costa Ricans head into this one in woeful form but England don’t appear to be in a position to put them to the sword, albeit boosting the value of the bet would be to back the English to get another clean sheet.
