Elisabetta Cocciaretto vs Kamilla Rakhimova prediction
Elisabetta Cocciaretto made as strong start to her grass court preparations as she made the semi-finals of the Libema Open. She was the first player to take a set off Elena-Gabriela Ruse that week but the Romanian came back to win and dump Cocciaretto out of the event. The Italian decided to rest up last week but is back competing, having won her two qualifying matches to make the main draw here.
Kamilla Rakhimova will be her opponent in round one. The Russian failed to get past qualifying for Queen’s Club but did so at the Nottingham Open. Nevertheless, she still lost in the first-round of the event to Anna Blinkova in straight sets.
Rakhimova won their only previous match, but it took place on clay and when she was in far better form over a year ago. Cocciaretto is coming off the back of a strong showing in the Netherlands and is likely to continue her progress with a win here.
