An impressive display to win 6-3, 7-5 in the quarter-finals against Clara Tauson has continued Diane Parry’s impressive form of late. The world number 50 is backing up reaching the round of 16 at the WTA 1000 event at the Cincinnati Open this month.

Ann Li is the tournament’s number five seed and she was even more dominant in her quarter-final to defeat compatriot Alycia Parks 6-2, 6-3. The 26-year-old American hadn’t won back-to-back matches since the Nottingham Open prior to her performances in Mexico.
