The Cypriots come into this one in the back of a 1-0 loss to Belarus the other day. That defeat means that the southern Europeans have only beaten San Marino in their last 12 matches.
They now face a Moldova side that were good in qualification for UEFA EURO 2024 but they have majorly declined and that continued with a 2-0 loss to Lithuania in their most recent outing.
These two sides are desperate for a confidence boosting victory. Cyprus have to be viewed as the victories here, albeit if they do come out on top, it is hardly likely to be overly convincing.
