However, the Windies failed to close out the game and their bowlers crumbled in the midst of English fireworks, all bar one of them going at an economy rate of over ten runs per over, meaning the series is still in the balance heading into the fourth T20i in Tarouba.

England’s batters finally showed composure, mixed with the explosive power which had not been seen so far across the series. Chasing 223 to win, opener Phil Salt played a potential career-defining innings, scoring an unbeaten 109 from 56 balls. England looked like they wouldn’t complete the chase despite Salt’s presence until Harry Brook came to the crease.
