- It was a magnificent team effort from the bowlers to defend a score of 245/8, with five of the six bowlers utilised picking up at least one wicket whilst Logan van Beek bagged a 3-fer, dismissing two South African players on scores of 40 or more.

- It’s been a nightmare competition for Sri Lanka so far, who simply haven’t been able to recover from the injury crisis that has engulfed the squad leading up to the World Cup and now throughout it.
- Not only have Sri Lanka lost three out of the three group games, but young fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana has become the latest star to be hit with injury and his participation in this latest match could be in doubt after missing his side’s defeat at the hands of Australia.
THE PREDICTION
The big question here is whether Netherlands can cope with Sri Lanka’s spinners on a pitch such as the one they’ll face in Lucknow. If they can, then they stand a real chance of pulling off another upset. Sri Lanka may have had an awful time of it so far at the tournament, but they are a stronger team and should be more adept to the expected conditions than their opponents. Expect a close game, but for Sri Lanka to just about drag themselves over the line.
