THE PREDICTION
Melbourne Renegades were unable to build on their maiden victory in WBBL|06 as they fell to a narrow loss against Adelaide Strikers. Chasing what should have been an achievable target of 128, the Renegades lost out by six runs despite recovering well from a poor start to their innings. Their top three in the order managed just seven runs between them which ultimately proved too much for them to overcome. They now take on a Hobart Hurricanes outfit with the same record in the tournament so far with four losses and just one victory, although the Hurricanes have lost their last two. They lost by the tightest of margins against Sydney Thunder on Sunday with Rachel Priest’s superb unbeaten 83 not enough as her side fell to a one-run defeat having managed just one run off the final ball of the match when two would have forced a tie. Neither side make great appeal but the Hurricanes hammered the Renegades when they met last week and they can come out on top once again.
