THE PREDICTION

Hobart Hurricanes produced their best performance of WBBL|06 as they defeated Sydney Sixers to make it back-to-back wins and they have now put themselves right in contention for a spot in the finals. Needing 140 to win, Rachel Priest continued her fine form as she whacked an unbeaten 92 off just 63 balls to guide her side to a sensational nine-wicket victory and they will be full of confidence for this clash with defending champions Brisbane Heat. The Heat will hope they have turned the corner after also winning their last two, their most recent success coming against Adelaide Strikers in a closely-fought contest. The Heat were limited to 136/7 but the bowling unit did a fine job of defending that with Grace Harris leading the way. She ended with figures of 4-16 to help her side to a 14-run victory and that sets this contest up nicely with both teams fancying their chances. The Heat come into this as narrow favourites and the key for them will be removing Priest without doing too much damage but if they can do that, they should be able to prevail in this one.
