THE PREDICTION

Hobart Hurricanes were unable to make it three consecutive victories in WBBL|06 as they were annihilated by a sensational display from defending champions Brisbane Heat. The Hurricanes were blitzed having opted to bat first and they mustered just 82 runs. The Heat had no difficultly at all in chasing down that total as they condemned the Hurricanes to a ten-wicket defeat as the Brisbane side reached their target after just 11.4 overs. They now come up against an inconsistent Adelaide Strikers outfit, although they will be on a high after a superb win over Sydney Sixers. Setting the Sydney side a target of 120 to win, the Strikers did a brilliant job with the ball as they limited the Sixers to 105/9 to earn a 14-run win. Megan Schutt led the way with the ball, ending with outstanding figures of 3-7 from her four overs and she will have a big role to play here with Suzie Bates having been ruled out for the remainder of the tournament with a shoulder injury. That is a blow for the Strikers but it should not stop them from making it back-to-back victories in this one.
