Carlton return from a bye and will be looking to regain momentum, while Essendon aims to bounce back from a competitive loss against a top side

Carlton's Sam Docherty was a standout last week, gathering 30 disposals and kicking a goal, providing drive from defence. For Carlton to take the next step they will need his likes to support major ball winners Patrick Cripps and Sam Walsh.
