Cagliari come into this one on the back of beginning their season with a slender 1-0 victory at the Ennio Tardini against Parma, courtesy of a 79th minute winner scored by Alessandro Romano. The Sardinians are expected to struggle after opting to persist with manager Fabio Pisacane.
Internazionale began their defence of the Serie A title with an impressive 4-1 hammering of Monza at San Siro in their opener. Inter have had an English-focus in the summer transfer window with the Nerazzurri bringing in defenders John Stones and Djed Spence as well as midfielder Curtis Jones.
Inter head to the Sardegna Arena as a well grooved and confident side that will be expected to win in any way in which the game presents itself to them.
