The prediction

Brisbane (3rd) made a significant statement in Round 21 with a powerful 27-point victory over Collingwood at the MCG. The win was not only crucial for their top four hopes but also broke a long-standing hoodoo, as it was their first victory over the Magpies at the 'G' since 2014.

Sydney (10th) is coming off a hard-fought 14-point win over Essendon in difficult, wet conditions at the SCG. While they secured the four points, it was a scrappy performance where their inaccuracy in front of goal (9.14) was a persistent issue.

Brisbane's emerging forward, Logan Morris, was the hero in the win over Collingwood. The young key forward announced himself on the big stage with a career-high six goals in a dominant, match-winning performance.

Sydney ruckman Brodie Grundy produced one of the most dominant individual performances of the season against Essendon. He was a force at the contest, finishing with a career-high 39 disposals, 32 hitouts, and 13 clearances in a masterclass.

Brisbane has had the better of the Swans in recent times, winning the last five encounters between the clubs. This includes a nail-biting four-point victory when they met at the SCG in Round 1 this season.

Playing Brisbane at the Gabba is one of the toughest assignments in football. After breaking their MCG hoodoo against Collingwood, the Lions' confidence will be sky-high. The Swans will need another monumental effort from Brodie Grundy and their midfield to have any chance of causing an upset
