Bologna preview: Slow start
Following the appointment of former Belgium boss Domenico Tedesco, Bologna have strengthened their squad and would expect to challenge for Europe but they have started with back-to-back defeats against Atalanta and Lazio.
Atalanta have their own teething issues but still managed to edge past Bologna last weekend, a week after Bologna had lost 1-0 at home to a Lazio side that are in the midst of a crisis with supporter unrest.
Sassuolo preview: Mixed opening
Fabio Grosso departed Sassuolo for big spending Fiorentina over the summer with the FIFA World Cup 2006 winner being replaced by Alberto Aquilani and I Neroverdi have started with a defeat and then a victory thus far.
Sassuolo were beaten 2-1 by Atalanta in their opener at the New Balance Arena before Sassuolo then managed to defeat Torino by two goals to one, with goals scored by Australia international striker Cristian Volpato and club legend Domenico Berardi.

There are concerns over the actual quality of manager Domenico Tedesco. The former Schalke boss did a good job in Gelsenkirchen but has more or less struggled ever since. Sassuolo now head to the Renato Dall’Ara having shown their best last weekend but they do offer opportunities to their opposition and so both teams scoring may well be a decent bet for this one in Emilio-Romagna on Sunday.
