Detroit Lions are one of the form teams in the NFL and their late push for a play-off spot continued to pick up pace thanks to claiming a late win over New York Jets last week. That made it six wins in their last seven matches and they will be full of confidence ahead of this trip to Carolina to face the Panthers. The home team sit at 5-9 after failing to make it three straight wins as they went down to Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15 and with little riding on this matchup, they look set to fall short once again.

San Francisco 49ers have suffered blow after blow this year with their offense decimated through injuries but they are coping well and are still picking up wins. Their defense is elite and is providing a platform for them to progress to the post-season with them coming into this on the back of a seven-game winning streak. They accounted for Seattle Seahawks last week and while Washington Commanders have lost just two of their last nine, this trip is a daunting one with the 49ers losing just once at Levi’s Stadium this season so the home team are the pick here.
