Chicago Bears have produced some improved efforts of late but they have been unable to turn those performances into wins. They suffered a third straight loss last week as they fell to NFC North rivals Detroit Lions but the 3-7 team will be confident that a much-needed success is not far away. They head to Atlanta to face the Falcons who have lost their last two after going down to Carolina Panthers last week. There is very little to split these two but with the Bears showing some real quality with the ball in their recent games, they will feel they can prevail in this matchup and make appeal with a start on the spread.
Prediction: Chicago Bears to cover +4 spread
Cincinnati Bengals @ Pittsburgh Steelers - 4:25pm ET
This AFC North contest could well be defense-oriented. The pair played out a thrilling matchup earlier in the season with OT needed to determine a winner and another nervy affair could be on the cards here. There is arguably a greater need for the 3-6 Pittsburgh Steelers to win than the 5-4 Cincinnati Bengals and having conceded no more than 18 points in three of their last four matches, the home team’s defense can do enough to keep the scoring low in this one.
Prediction: Under 42 points
