You can’t help but feel that Bayer Leverkusen’s 3-1 defeat away at Stuttgart last weekend all but ended their hopes of finishing inside the top four and qualifying for the Champions League once again. They do still have a faint chance but with three points between them and both Stuttgart and Hoffenheim, a lot would need to go their way.

Hamburg are ending the season strongly and head to the BayArena on the back of consecutive victories. They’ll have no fear of Leverkusen and could easily catch the hosts nursing somewhat of a hangover from last weekend’s damaging defeat. When taking this into account, there is real value in backing a confident Hamburg to gain at least a point if not all three.
