Azerbaijan vs Malta prediction

Azerbaijan come into this one on the back of a FIFA Series victory in March. Having demolished Caribbean minnows Saint Lucia by six goals to one, the Azeris then defeated Sierra Leone on penalties after a 1-1 draw in Baku.

They now face a Malta side that have been steadily improving throughout the last few years. Emilio De Leo’s Reds, as they are nicknamed, have started 2026 with a UEFA Nations League promotion/relegation playoff loss to Luxembourg, though, before losing 2-1 to Slovakia the other day.
