Australia vs India prediction

Australia have already completed a mammoth run chase of 331 to beat India back in the group stage, captain Alyssa Healy striking 142 from 107 balls in that one. She faces a late fitness test to determine her involvement in this semi-final, which Australia go into as group stage winners having won six of their seven games played so far in this tournament.

India of course, have the benefit of a fervent home crowd and sub-continental conditions which they are so adept at playing in. But when it comes to knockout cricket in ICC competitions, they often seem to fall short, whether it be the 2017 World Cup, or the 2020 T20 World Cup. Australia have put their bowling attack to the sword once already in this competition and the depth within their batting unit even without Healy makes it likely that we’ll see this once again.

The Aussies are serial winners when it comes to these big tournaments and know how to get over the line under intense pressure. They have to be favoured here against India.
