Auckland vs Sydney prediction

A part of the Black Knight Group alongside AFC Bournemouth and Lorient, Auckland debuted as a new team in the A League last season and won the regular season league table before finishing up as semi-finalists in the playoffs. This time around, they were runners’ up and, under the management of Steve Corica, are seeking to put right what went wrong.

Sydney, with Patrick Kisnorbo at the helm, have won the A League on five occasions, which is a record – but not since 2020. The most successful club in Australia, they haven’t finished higher than fourth since finishing second in the 2020/21 campaign.

Sydney are stronger and returning to their status this season but next year seems a likelier bet for them with Auckland firm favourites, especially with home advantage.

Auckland vs Sydney tip: Auckland to win
