Argentina vs Iceland prediction

Lionel Scaloni and his defending world champions come into this one on the back of a comfortable 2-0 defeat of Honduras the other day. They have now enjoyed six successive victories since losing to Ecuador in their final CONMEBOL qualifying for the FIFA World Cup.

They now face an entertaining Iceland side that have some good talent coming through the ranks once again. The Icelanders were beaten 1-0 by Japan in their most recent outing after score draws against Canada and Haiti during the March international break.

While they are improved and quite fun, Iceland are now winless in their last five matches. They shared a 1-1 draw with the Argentinians at the FIFA World Cup in 2018 but this is a very different Argentine side, albeit Iceland may be confident of bloodying their nose on the counter-attack.

Argentina vs Iceland tip: Argentina to win & both teams to score
