CASTLEFORD TIGERS

  • Castleford bounced back from their first defeat of the season by overcoming Catalans last week and that saw them return to the top of the table where they will aim to stay.
  • Daryl Powell is able to name the same set of players for this game but he is still unable to count on star winger Greg Minikin, who continues to nurse a shoulder problem.
  • Second-rower Oliver Holmes is fit and after failing to make the 17 despite being named in the 19 last week, he will be considered for first team action in this match.

HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS

  • Huddersfield are struggling badly at the moment and the only positive result they have managed in the last month was a draw against an injury-hit Wigan side.
  • They are dealt another blow with the suspension of Danny Brough who was handed a one-match ban for throwing a punch in the loss to Leeds last week, so Ryan Brierley will step into the half-back role.
  • Winger Aaron Murphy is injured so that will hand an opportunity for Gene Ormsby to come back into the squad and he is competing with Sam Wood for a spot on the wing.

Analysis - what to expect
Castleford continue to be the form team in the Super League and barring the upset loss to Salford - albeit in poor weather conditions - they continue to steamroller teams. Huddersfield are struggling defensively and that does not bode well for a team with Cas' firepower. A comprehensive home win is on the cards.
