- Germany’s unbeaten record at the 2019 IIHF World Championships was brought to an abrupt halt as they were hammered by Canada and now face a quick turnaround as they face another tough contest against the USA.

THE PREDICTION
Germany’s hopes of making the quarter-finals were dealt a blow when their unbeaten record was ended in spectacular fashion by Canada and they now face another tough test with USA lying in wait. Another loss for the Germans here would open the door for Slovakia to potentially edge them to the final qualifying spot from Group A but if they can find the win, they would be the ones to qualify. They will need to show a response to the Canada loss but it will not be enough with the USA winning comfortably.
