Anastasia Zakharova vs Lucrezia Stefanini prediction

Anastasia Zakharova advanced to her second tour-level quarter-final of the season after brushing aside Vaishnavi Adkar at the Chennai Open. Zakharova reeled off the final seven games, wrapping up a 6-3 6-0 victory after one hour and 22 minutes. She is yet to drop a set at the event across her opening two matches.

She now faces Lucrezia Stefanini for a place in the last four. The Italian beat Simona Waltert in the round-of-16. Stefanini was a break down early in the first set but soon took control of the match and went on to win 6-2 6-3.

Stefanini dominates the head-to-head, as she leads 3-0 and is yet to drop a set to Zakharova, but this will be their first official meeting on the WTA Tour. They faced each other just a few months ago in Cincinnati qualifying, with Stefanini winning 6-4 6-2.  Given their past, the 28-year-old will be favoured to come out on top.
