Alycia Parks vs Elsa Jacquemot prediction

In what is her second French Open participation, Alycia Parks reached the second round for the first time courtesy of an excellent three-set victory over 14th seed Karolina Muchova.

In a match which contained a number of momentum swings, the American triumphed 6-3, 2-6, 6-1, serving nine aces against her Czech opponent, although she will want to improve on her double fault stats as she made seven of them throughout the contest.

Parks will next take on French 22-year-old Elsa Jacquemot, who claimed a scalp of her own in the first round by defeating 2021 semi-finalist Maria Sakkari in straight sets.

Having also reached the second round in 2022, Jacquemot is aiming to break new ground at Roland Garros and faces Parks for the first time in her career.

This one is difficult one to call between two players who perhaps weren't expected to win their openers. Parks is the higher-ranked but Jacquemot will have the support of the home crowd behind her. Expect a close match whichever way this goes.
