The prediction

The Gold Coast Suns (5th) claimed their biggest scalp of the season, holding their nerve to upset Collingwood 69-63 in a Friday night epic. They held a large lead and weathered a furious Collingwood comeback to hand the Pies only their third loss of the season.

Riley Thilthorpe was the clear difference-maker for the Crows against the Bulldogs, dominating the forward 50 to grab 10 marks and kick a career-high six goals.

Noah Anderson was simply outstanding for the Suns against the Magpies' vaunted midfield, finishing with 32 disposals, 8 clearances, and kicking the crucial go-ahead goal late in the final term.

Gold Coast won the last meeting between the sides in Round 4 this season snatching a one point victory, 91-90. The Suns have won four out of the last five meetings.

This promises to be a spectacular contest. Gold Coast's win over Collingwood proves they are a genuine top four threat.
