The prediction

A mouthwatering clash awaits on Friday with the Adelaide Crows attempting to prove their premiership credentials when they host the defending champion Brisbane Lions.

The Adelaide Crows showed the Sydney Swans no mercy in front of their home fans with a 131-41 drubbing that sinks the boot into the Swans hopes while establishing themselves as a class opponent that nobody wants to face come September. With their fourth win in five matches the Crows have leapfrogged the Suns and now sit third on the ladder thanks to their league=leading percentage.

The Brisbane Lions did things the hard way against the Essendon Bombers, with their experience prevailing in a 90-72 win at home that kept them in second place on the ladder for now. After a surprise loss to the Demons and an even more surprising draw against the Kangaroos the Lions appear to be back on track with that win over the Bombers and prior to that, the Hawks.

The Lions have won six of the past eight clashes that also includes a draw. With Darcy Fogarty and Riley Thilthorpe providing a strong 1-2 punch up front we think the Crows might have too much firepower for the Lions in this one and can get the job done with a margin.
