Wrexham vs Charlton prediction

Wrexham begin the penultimate match day of the 2024/25 League One campaign sitting tucked inside the top two and the automatic promotion spots but three draws in their last five matches has opened the door for the likes of Wycombe Wanderers, Charlton Athletic and Stockport County in the final two games. For example, an Addicks win in north Wales this weekend would see them move to just a point behind Wrexham.

The hosts did manage a 2-1 defeat of Steve Bruce’s Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on Easter Monday, whilst Charlton won 4-0 away at fellow promotion rivals Wycombe to mean they have now collected 16 points from their last six games and lost just two of their last 20 matches.

This is going to be a tense and nervy occasion in Wrexham as Phil Parkinson and Nathan Jones’ overarching philosophies tend to be quite reactive so a low-scoring encounter is also likely.

Wrexham vs Charlton tip: Under 2.5 goals
