Russian Olympic Committee come into this quarter-final on the back of a loss to Czech Republic in a high-scoring contest. That was their final game of Group B with overtime needed to split the pair in what was an 11-goal thriller. They face a tough task to advance to the semi-finals with Denmark standing in their way and they boast three wins from their four games having edged Latvia in their qualifying play-off. There is little to split this pair but ROC got the better of the Danes in their group clash as well as in their meeting at last year’s World Championships so the Russians are given the nod to come out on top once again.
