All five batters sent to the crease reached double figures, with Keacy Carty and captain Shai Hope doing most of the damage, scoring 95 and 87 respectively. Hope was unbeaten at the end, underlining his excellently timed knock and how he never lost control of the chase.
New Zealand’s bowling attack were firing blanks across the Windies chase and that must change if they are to level things up.
