Valencia Team News: No need to change

With no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues and their aforementioned improvement in the last couple of months, there is no need for Valencia to make any changes this weekend. They are without defender Thierry Correia due to a knee injury.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Mamardashvili; Foulquier, Carlos Tarrega, Cristhian Mosquera; Luis Rioja, Javi Guerra, Pepelu, Jose Luis Gaya; Diego Lopez, Almeida; Hugo Duro

Atletico Madrid Team News: No Koke

After another rare midweek without a game, Atletico Madrid will be able to name their strongest possible eleven without rotation in this one. They are without club captain Koke due to a leg injury. Pablo Barrios is also missing due to suspension.

Predicted XI (4-4-2): Oblak; Marcos Llorente, Jose Maria Gimenez, Le Normand, Javi Galan; Giuliano Simeone, De Paul, Gallagher, Samuel Lino; Griezmann, Julian Alvarez

Valencia vs Atletico Madrid Prediction

Valencia, with former West Bromwich Albion boss Carlos Corberan now calling the shots, have been much-improved in the last few weeks with their only defeats since his arrival coming against Barcelona and Real Madrid with the latter being a game in which they led until late on. Los Che remain in the bottom three and the relegation places but, with Mestalla, will fancy their chances of staying up. They face an Atletico Madrid side that have now managed just one win in five matches in La Liga but Los Rojiblancos are very much in the title race. They need to find some consistency and their natural defensive style, as well as average form, and Valencia likely believing a point would be suitable from this game would suggest a low-scoring affair.

Valencia vs Atletico Madrid Tip: Under 2.5 goals
