Thiago Agustin Tirante vs Jaume Munar prediction
Tirante can take some confidence from his performances in Paris last week. After being handed a lucky loser spot, he pushed Jan-Lennard Struff all the way to three sets before eventually losing to the experienced German.
He comes up against 29-year-old Spaniard Jaume Munar, who has struggled in his last couple of events but enjoyed an outstanding Japan Open, winning five matches en route to the semi-finals before losing to Carlos Alcaraz in three sets.
His win over Taylor Fritz in Tokyo was the standout result for Munar, and to even take a set off Alcaraz shows just how well he played that week.
He has since lost his opening matches at the Shanghai Masters and the Paris Masters, so he will be hoping to bounce back and get a win under his belt here.
The pair have never met on the ATP Tour, and it is Tirante who has arguably had the better 2026. However, the best of Tirante’s results have come on clay, and we fancy the more versatile Munar to get the win in this one.
