Janice Tjen vs Magda Linette prediction
Janice Tjen reached a second successive Chennai Open final after comfortably beating Robin Montgomery in straight sets. The 24-year-old saved six out of seven break point opportunities on her way to winning 6-3 6-4 after one hour and 23 minutes. Tjen has now won nine consecutive matches at the event, having also defeated Polina Kudermetova in the quarter-finals. She will face Magda Linette next.
Linette advanced to her first tour-level final since July 2024 after coming from a set down to beat Anastasia Zakharova in the other semi-final. The Pole had beaten Zakharova at the end of last month in Guangzhou and showed all of her fighting qualities to pick up another victory, winning 2-6 6-3 6-2 after one hour and 55 minutes.
Tjen has a fantastic record at the event and has only dropped one set across her four matches this week. She will start as the favourite to defeat Linette.
