Elias Ymer vs Juan Manuel Cerundolo prediction
Elias Ymer comes into his home tournament hoping to find some form, as the 30-year-old has been struggling of late.
His only win on the ATP Tour or ATP Challenger Tour in the last six weeks came against Terence Atmane, who was forced to retire with the score level in the third set in Jingshan at the end of September. Otherwise, he has been eliminated in his first match at each of the last four tournaments he has played, and he has struggled to find any real form.
He will be hoping the home support can fire him up as he takes on Argentina’s Juan Manuel Cerundolo.
Cerundolo was knocked out by an in-form Casper Ruud in the first round of the Paris Masters last week, having come through two rounds of qualifying to get there. The left-hander will be happy with his form in 2026, which has been an excellent year for him, including reaching a career-high ATP singles ranking of world number 42 at the end of June.
On form, Cerundolo simply has to be favoured to win this one, with Ymer having been pretty poor in recent times.
