22-year-old Terence Atmane will set a new career-high ATP world ranking of around 119th after beating Lorenzo Musetti on Friday, with the home favourite forced to retire early in their second set. Atmane qualified well this week to make his debut in Rome and he impressed on his overall Masters debut late last year, upsetting Jordan Thompson before an exit to Nicolas Jarry. Similar fare seems likely here as the Frenchman faces world number 10 Grigor Dimitrov, who beat Yoshihito Nishioka in straight sets on Friday to bounce back well from an upset by rising star Jakub Mensik in Madrid. 32-year-old Dimitrov will be eager to return to the faster surfaces later this summer but he is an excellent all-court threat at his best who only recently beat Carlos Alcaraz en-route to the Miami Open final. Back Dimitrov to win this first encounter in straight sets.
