MAYAR SHERIF VS PEYTON STEARNS PREDICTION
World number 66 Mayar Sherif is through to her third final on clay this month but a first at tour-level, after finishing runner-up at Challenger events in Spain and Italy.
The 28-year-old looks to be peaking on her favoured surface just in time to be a factor at Roland-Garros, with a tight three-set exit to Victoria Azarenka in the third round of Rome proof of what it currently takes to oust her in these conditions. The Egyptian will be backed as a fellow North African in Morocco and she has dropped just 14 games en-route to the final to look a solid favourite in this first encounter with Peyton Stearns.
World number 81 Stearns, however, has fought tooth-and-nail to reach her second tour final, stunning defending champion Lucia Bronzetti from 0-5 down in their third set on Thursday to prove her capabilities.
