18-year-old Martin Landaluce was handed a wildcard to the main draw at the Miami Open after some recent strong work on the ITF circuit and he will be eager to impress on the biggest stage of his young career. The Spaniard set a career-high ATP world ranking of 359th after reaching the semi-finals of an ITF event on hardcourts in Tenerife late last month but compatriot Jaume Munar should be able to avoid anything close to an upset here in a likely good-natured encounter. World number 72 Munar is capable of much better tennis than his current ranking suggests but a straight-sets exit at this stage of Indian Wells last time out suggests this could come closer than it should. The suitably cautious call is an outright win for the elder Spaniard so consider a one-off on Landaluce to snatch a set or leave this one alone altogether.
