THE PREDICTION

World number 34 Lesia Tsurenko is yet to drop a set this week in Monastir after an impressive result over Claire Liu on Thursday and she looks a dark horse for the title now. The 34-year-old finished runner-up to Lin Zhu at the Hua Hin Championships back in February and a fifth WTA title would certainly be the icing on the cake of her current renaissance period that started early last year. World number 135 Nuria Parrizas-Diaz recently dropped back to the Challenger circuit to build up some match confidence and it looks to have paid off. The 32-year-old has battled past Magdalena Frech and Katarina Zavatska in three sets apiece to reach her first tour-level quarter-final this season but Tsurenko looks a step too steep at this moment in time. Back the Ukrainian to win outright, although straight sets should do it.
