Wolf meets number 88 Jordan Thompson for the first time. 28-year-old Thompson is a well-loved Aussie who will be well-backed by a dedicated, partisan crowd on Court 3 but J.J. Wolf seems the kind of player who will enjoy trying to play the villain of the piece. Wolf reached a maiden ATP tour final at the Firenze Open last October, finishing runner-up to Felix Auger-Aliassime and he looked solid in a victory over Adrian Mannarino in Auckland last week.
